Unicornfest

I was selected as one of the artists to paint a unicorn for Unicornfest: a summer sculpture trail raising money for Leukaemia Care. My design features an idyllic and dreamy Bristol landscape with swirling leaves up the legs, a variety of trees dotted on the undulating landscape, clouds, large rainbow and a classic Bristol sight: hot air balloons!

The unicorn was placed outside Bristol Aquarium until September 2023. It was auctioned off in October 2023 for charity.

The Process

I worked on the unicorn over the space of a few weeks in the painting space. From building up the base layers to adding in the final details, the unicorn was a lot of fun to work on.
