The Forest Centre

I was commissioned by The Natural History Consortium to create a bespoke sign for their community led pop up hub: The Forest Centre. The centre had family friendly arts and crafts activities and was part of a tree inspired art installation event in Bristol called Overstory.

The brief for the signage was to capture the interactivity of the workshops held at the centre through the use of playful illustration. The idea behind the final design was to capture joy and movement with the cheeky hands emerging from the forest to interact with the centre name. The colour palette is fun yet sophisticated with a pop of bright colour incorporated to reflect the art installation displayed outside in Broadmead.

Process

  • Developed sketches and colour scamps
